Man heard threatening ex-girlfriend in voicenote apprehended by police
The police are reporting that a man heard threatening his ex-girlfriend's life in a voicenote has been apprehended.
In the voicenote, the man, who is identified as Peter, repeatedly tells a woman, identified as Denise, that he was going to kill her.
The woman said that she walked away because she no longer felt comfortable in the relationship.
In a statement today, the police say the man was held a short while ago in St Catherine and is being interviewed.
The police are reminding members of the public that threats are treated as extremely serious incidents by the constabulary force and are encouraging those who are receiving threats to make a formal report to the police.
