Summary of the Position:
The Assistant HR Manager supports the execution of daily HR operations to deliver strategic business goals and initiatives. The incumbent will monitor employee morale and foster organizational culture awareness.
Essential Duties:
Ø Manages the administration of employee benefits program
Ø Monitors the maintenance of HRIS, ensuring data integrity
Ø Participates in cross-functional initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.
Ø Supervision of junior HR functionaries
Ø Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
Ø Assist with the management of performance and attendance
Ø Participates in the execution of employee grievance and disciplinary process
Ø Assist with researching, developing, evaluating and updating of policies
Ø Supports the planning and execution of employee engagement projects
Ø Serves as a point-of -contact on labour laws and supports employee awareness.
Ø Assist in addressing Human Resources related queries
Ø Remain current with HR trends and best practices
Required Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
Ø 3-5 years of relevant working experience
Ø 1-2 years of people management experience
Ø 1-2 years of payroll experience
Ø Proven success leading and managing project timelines through implementation
Ø Excellent concise communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ø The ability to work independently and autonomously is essential for success
Ø Sound working knowledge of Jamaican law
Ø Comfortable presenting in front of business leaders and the ability to present to multiple audiences
