Fonanta is set to open its flagship Waterloo Square location soon.
Fontana Pharmacy has partnered with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to host a job fair to fill multiple vacancies at its new Waterloo Square flagship location.
The fair will take place from Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 9 at the Ministry’s 1F North Street office.
Fontana seeks to fill vacancies for pharmacy technicians, floor managers, receiving and warehouse clerks, cashiers, office manager, payables clerk, data entry clerks, supervisors, sales associates, merchandisers, maintenance and custodians.
The distributor of pharmaceutical products is also looking for a loss prevention officer, bike bearer, driver, receptionist and beauty consultants.
“Interested applicants may apply online by visiting www.lmis.gov.jm,” the company said in a notice to the public.
Fontana, however, requires applicants to have proof of qualifications, two references, an updated resume, two passport photos, national insurance scheme protection (NIS) and a tax registration number (TRN).
The company’s largest location to date, the new Waterloo Square at the corner of Waterloo Road and West Kings House Road is expected to open by next month.
Fontana Waterloo Square is a two-level space spanning 35,000 square foot featuring elevators and escalators.
The new branch will feature a state of the art pharmacy, one-stop beauty hub, extensive baby and children’s selection, wide-ranging house and home décor collection, full business centre, photo lab, bill payment and courier services.
Fontana Pharmacy was first established in Mandeville, Manchester in November 1968 by Bobby and Angela Chang and is now Jamaica’s leading pharmacy and department store chain with locations in Kingston, Mandeville, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Savannah-la-mar.
The company listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange last December.
Its newest location will be a feature of Fontana’s 50th-anniversary plans.
